The Christmas-countdown clock is ticking and the holiday spirit is alive and well in Folsom and El Dorado Hills. Just take a look at these local happenings ... On Saturday, Dec. 6, there are two holiday events in El Dorado Hills. The first is "The Miracle of Christmas" showing at 2 and 6 p.m. at Rolling Hills Christand Church at 800 White Rock Road. The play is about kids putting on a Christmas pageant. Admission is free. For more info, call 939-3527 or visit The second performance is Center Stage Dance Academy's annual holiday benefit show titled "The Dancer's Gift" at Golden Hills School, 1020 Suncast Lane, at 2 and 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $5 for children. For more information, call 939-7222. In Folsom, there is the city Christmas tree lighting on Friday, Dec. 5, from 6 to 9 p.m. There is no admission charge and the big bash is taking place in the Historic District. The following day is the Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair on Sutter Street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The holiday fair runs along four blocks of Sutter Street. Admission is free. Remember that the Historic Folsom ice skating rink will be open on Sutter Street, behind the chamber of commerce, through Jan. 25 from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Adults are $8, while children and seniors are $5. There is a $2 additional fee for skate rentals. Admission gets you two hours on the ice.
