Vista school records fall at Woody Wilson InviteBy: Staff Report
Three Vista del Lago school records fell at the Woody Wilson Invitational held Saturday at UC Davis.
The distance medley team of Kyle Chun, David Raymond, Jeff Reinking and Zach Jaeger posted a time of 10 minutes, 45 seconds, breaking the old mark by two seconds. Chun ran 1,200 meters, while Raymond ran 400, Reinking, 800 and Jaeger, 1600.
The girls’ distance medley team also set a new record of 12:35, which was a 22-second improvement on the school’s previous record. Sierra Jaeger ran the 1,200, while Karina Williams (400), Jenn Morgan (800) and Clare Carroll (1,600) rounded out the squad.
Finally, Caprina Pipion lowered the school record in the 400 meters in 58.90.
Nicole Frydenlund didn’t set a school record in the 300 hurdles, but is closing in on one. Her time of 49.67 was just was less than four-tenths of a second away.
