The San Juan Soccer Club held a holiday camp last Friday night at John Kemp Park. The night attracted more than 130 kids to the soccer camp. Partnering with the Folsom Police Department’s Christmas Basket Program, the event collected a truckload of toys. To attend the event, each child was asked to bring an unwrapped new toy. “The idea was to have a fun night of soccer, introduce the kids to San Juan and most important, generate some toys for deserving kids at Christmas time,” said San Juan’s Price Walker. “The night was such a success the Club plans on making it an annual event.” The San Juan Soccer Club is an elite youth club representing the greater Sacramento area, headquartered in Folsom. More than 100 kids from Folsom play for San Juan. San Juan Soccer Club will be holding tryouts for the coming season starting in mid-January. For more information visit sanjuan soccer.org.
