Rancho Cordova welcomes new credit union

After relocating its long-standing Mather branch to a new site in the Mills Shopping Center in Rancho Cordova, Heritage Community Credit Union held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday to celebrate the opening. Credit union Board of Directors Chairman George Bell used the ceremonial giant scissors to cut the blue ribbon and welcome the community to the branch. Mayor Dan Skoglund of Rancho Cordova, Linda Budge and Dave Sander of the Rancho Cordova City Council, Sacramento County Supervisor Don Nottoli and Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce CEO Jane Daly were in attendance, along with members of the Heritage Community Credit Union Board of Directors, executives and staff members. “This is probably the most thrilling moment I’ve had in my almost six years here at Heritage,” said Judy Flores, CEO of Heritage Community Credit Union. “We are excited and happy that we will be able to serve the community with our new flagship branch.” With its new location and a 24-hour drive-up and walk-up ATMs, the new Mills Center branch, located at 10339 Folsom Blvd., will serve the Rancho Cordova community with enhanced ease and convenience, according to a press release. Founded in 1953 as the Mather Federal Credit Union, today Heritage Community Credit Union is a $200 million financial institution, located in Sacramento, serving more than 22,000 members. Anyone who lives, works, worships or goes to school in Sacramento or Placer counties is eligible to join the credit union. ~ Staff report
