Rachel Lahr led Vista del Lago’s track and field team at the Sac Town Races Invitational held at Whitney High School on Saturday. Lahr won two events, setting a school record by winning the long jump with a leap of 17 feet, 2 ½ inches. She also won the triple jump and took third in the 100-meter hurdles. Emily Cooper also set a Vista record in the 100 meters, finishing in 12.81, good enough for second place. She also finished fourth in the 200. Scott Fukui had a busy day, placing third in the long jump, as well as the triple jump. His 40’4” triple jump also set a Vista del Lago school record. Fukui also finished fifth in the 110 hurdles. Narissa Tsuboi placed third in the 100 and finished fifth in the 200. Both Riley Martin and Marisa Leung finished fourth in the 800 meters and in the pole vault, respectively. Fifth-place finishers included Marissa Mendez in the 800 and Robby Otis in the high jump. Vista also had a pair of relay team take third. Cooper, Elaine Halvorson, Tsuboi and Leung finished third in the 4x100, while Cooper Halvorson, Tsuboi and Lahr took third in the 4x400 relay.
