Taylor Knoll will represent Folsom High at the Sac-Joaquin Section Masters Tournament to be held at The Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton on Monday. Knoll shot a four-over-par 76 at the divisional tournament on Monday at Paradise Valley Golf Club in Fairfield to advance. “It was a very windy day and conditions were tougher than normal,” Folsom coach Steve Burgess said. “Taylor did a magnificent job handling the conditions.” Knoll’s teammate Joel Slak also competed in the tournament and came in with a 79 and was forced to compete in a playoff with five other golfers for the final qualifying spot. Slak missed a six-foot par put and was eliminated. “It’s a tough was to end a good career at Folsom High,” Burgess said. Knoll will attempt to qualify for the Northern California golf championships to be held Monday at Butte Creek in Chico.
