Folsom High’s Mike Kinoshita and Kory Kennedy from Indiana competed in the California International Marathon on Sunday and placed second in the relay division, finishing in 2 hours, 36 minutes and 28 seconds.

The duo took second behind a relay team from American River College, while easily winning the visually impaired division. The runners met at the US Paralympic Trials in Indianapolis earlier this year and decided to run the marathon, each covering 13.1miles.

Kinoshita was guided by Mac Harvey, a sophomore at Sac State who ran for Davis in high school, while Kennedy was guided by Mustafa Abbas, also a Sac State runner who competed for El Camino in high school.
