Great views highlight this Serrano home
By: Eric Laughlin Telegraph Correspondent
If you’re in the market for a reasonably-priced Serrano home with panoramic views and plenty of open space, look no farther than 1535 Terracina Drive. Once inside this cozy 4,498-square-foot semi-custom home, you’ll see why it has become the most desirable model of popular builder JTS. The rotunda foyer welcomes you into a vast dining room with high vaulted ceilings. There are also plenty of columns, arches and crown moulding that will make you feel as if you’re in a wide-open space. Perhaps the best part of the home is the family room/kitchen section, which features large windows looking out to the waterfall-equipped pool, as well as the Sacramento skyline. “The views from here really are incredible,” Realtor Kari McCoy said. “There really isn’t a better place to take in the sunset and also be able to see Mount Diablo.” McCoy said that another feature that makes the house a good investment is the greenbelt that it backs up to. “That protected area means there will never be future construction,” she said. “It’s completely protected by Serrano.” But the perks of this lovely home have only been listed in part. Another great thing about it is that it sits on a completely flat lot. “That’s a big plus for El Dorado Hills,” McCoy said. “And another good thing is that the house next door is only a single story, so the view is not at all compromised.” The home also lies within the El Dorado Hills School District section of Serrano, meaning families with children will not have to send their kids up the hill to Shingle Springs for their studies. The kitchen is extra large and contains two sinks, one located on a multi-leveled island, which also doubles up as a large bar/dining area. Views from the kitchen will never make you cringe again at the notion of washing dishes. On the other side of the kitchen is a charming courtyard that can be accessed by double French doors. The courtyard serves as a compliment to the home’s large backyard. There are even a handful of fruit trees to go along with the view. The home’s owner said the backyard view really is one of the best parts, adding that stargazers and weather watchers will be delighted with excellent sights. “It’s really neat when the fog comes in and settles just below the canyon,” he said. One of the home’s bedrooms is located downstairs and includes a bathroom, the perfect place to house guests. There is also an office near the entry way that can be used as a sixth bedroom. The home’s upstairs area features a large master with views of the valley, as well as more columns and arches. Altogether there are five full bathrooms. The garage is also spacious, featuring room for three cars. The home is listed at $638,888. For more information, contact Kari McCoy at (916) 933-KARI.
