Thanksgiving is a holiday that reminds us all to remember what we are most thankful for in our lives, but it can also be a time to stuff more than the turkey. This year, Val Fujii and the rest of Team Superwomen Boot Camp hopes families will add a new tradition to the holiday. “We will be holding a special Thanksgiving Day Boot Camp this year,” Fujii said. “We love to find ways that we can give back to our community since it has given so much to us, so we are teaming up with the Twin Lakes Food Bank and asking all boot camp participants to donate a non-perishable food item.” Immediately following the boot camp, Team Superwomen Boot Camp will be participating in another great Folsom tradition, the third annual Turkey Trot. “The Turkey Trot is a wonderful event that benefits our community, including the Twin Lakes Food Bank and the Never In Our Town Youth Scholarship," Fujii said. For more detailed information about the event, visit "So, come on out and support your community, and burn some calories while you are at it," Fujii said. The Thanksgiving Day Boot Camp will be held at The Dojo on Woodmere Drive from 7-8 a.m. From there the group will be heading over to participate in the Turkey Trot. It is open to both men and women and all you have to bring to participate is a canned food donation.
