Folsom's first outdoor ice skating rink to open Monday

Warm weather delay means early week debut
Hit the ice Monday morning with Folsom's first outdoor ice skating rink. A three-day delay in the opening of the ice skating rink means the project has also been extended and will now run through Jan. 25. The delay, according to organizers, was caused by warm weather. “We are experience a few delays due to the unseasonably warm weather,” said Sally Howard with the Folsom Chamber of Commerce. “We will open on Monday at 9 a.m. with a ribbon cutting.” Monday’s opening date will feature a ribbon cutting with city and business officials. In the know: Monday, Nov. 24 through Sunday, Jan. 25 Hours: 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Christmas Day Cost: Adults $8 Children 12 and under/62 and older $5 Skate rental: Additional $2 *Two hour sessions Location: The Historic Sutter Street Ice Rink is located in the Folsom Historic District near the Light Rail Station and Folsom Chamber Offices.
