The Eagles started the game with a fumble recovery on the opening kickoff. That was followed up with two quick handoffs to Nick Williams for 40yds, a nice boot from Jacob Sampson, and 8 points were on the board. The Raiders then received the kickoff and on their first play from the line of scrimmage the Eagles forced another fumble that was recovered by Blake Martin. Martin later added another devastating blow with a 35yd punt return for a touchdown. Ben Barudoni and Sampson contributed to the touchdown tally with two great runs for 25+yds. Williams added another TD for a total of 62yds on 3 carries for 2TD’s. The referees called the game at halftime and in a show of great sportsmanship the two teams finished off the day with a controlled scrimmage, which both sides enjoyed. Next week the Eagles face the Rio Linda Jr. Knights for the final game of the season before the playoffs. -by Kelley Butcher
