The Doghouse will be barking tonight, as Folsom High’s varsity boys’ basketball team plays host to Oak Ridge at 7 p.m.

Both teams need a win, especially Folsom, who enters the game with a 2-4 record in the Delta River League and an 11-12 mark overall. Oak Ridge is 3-3 in league and 13-10 overall. Oak Ridge won the previous meeting between the teams in their gym, 47-29.

Oak Ridge looks to rebound from Wednesday’s 42-37 loss to Pleasant Grove, while Folsom saw its two-game win streak ended by Sheldon, 77-59.

It’s an even bigger game for Oak Ridge’s Tyler Hatten, who played for Folsom High last year.

“It’s a pretty big game for me,” Hatten said. “I like to play them, as I’m still friends with some of those guys.”

Folsom struggled offensively last game, before coming on strong in the fourth quarter. They desperately need a better start and hope to get one in front of an excited hometown crowd.

For Oak Ridge, the Trojans need to play another strong defensive game, which is their forte.

“We just have to play good defense and get every rebound,” Hatten said. “If we do that, we should be good.”
