The top spot in the Big 8 Conference changed hands for the fourth time this season after Tuesday’s Tournament No. 9 at Castle Oaks Golf Club in Ione.

With winds gusting more than 35 mph, Santa Rosa reclaimed the Big 8 lead with a 10-stroke victory over Folsom Lake College. The Falcons had four players shoot 75 or better, but the Santa Rosa team, led by a 3-under-par round of 68, proved to be too much on this day. The Falcons now find themselves one point behind Santa Rosa with three tournaments to play.

For the second straight tournament, the Falcons’ sixth man was their scoring leader as freshman Jace Tiller turned in a low round with his 74.
