Back to school is in full swing in Folsom. Many local businesses will rely on your patronage for your school, sports and extra-curricular shopping. The dollars you spend in our community will generate sales tax revenue which funds benefits citywide. If you are trying to stay on top of all the new businesses in Folsom, check out the Folsom Chamber on Instagram or Facebook for photos and information that will keep you in the know about Folsom’s newest places and faces.

Sept. 11 will be commemorated in a variety of events throughout the community. The Folsom Fire and Police Departments will host a 9/11 remembrance ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 11. The event will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. at Folsom City Lions Park behind the library near the gazebo. For more information, go to folsom.ca.us or folsomchamber.com.

Thousands of volunteers will complete nearly 50 service projects on Saturday, Sept. 15, at the fifth annual Community Service Day, Folsom’s largest day of volunteerism. Community members can now register to volunteer for more than 40 different projects. This citywide volunteer effort is centered on the belief that many hands make light work. For more information or to sign up, go to folsomcommunityservice.org.
