The students at Folsom Lake College will hold a special benefit concert featuring the eight-time Grammy Award winning group, “The Manhattan Transfer.”
The “Three Stages, One Night: A New York Experience” benefit event will be at 7 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 18, at Three Stages at Folsom Lake College, 10 College Parkway, in Folsom.
The event will take people through a New York experience to benefit the Folsom Lake College Foundation, with proceeds supporting student programs.
“Guests will have the opportunity to meet artists and experience Three Stages like never before,” said Sally Howard, director of College Advancement.
The evening begins at 7 p.m. with red carpets and a champagne reception followed by a performance by “The Manhattan Transfer” at 8 p.m.
Post-event festivities begin at 9:30 p.m., which includes food, local wines and a variety of live music and entertainers. Tickets for the black tie event are $150.
“Our foundation board felt that there wasn’t this kind of event in this part of the region, so they saw the opportunity to build this black tie gala in Folsom,” said Kirstin Haas, college relations specialists for the Folsom Lake College Foundation.
