Forever 21 draws many under 21By: Telegraph photography by Menka Belgal
It looked like a Black Friday sale outside Forever 21 at the Folsom Premium Outlets with people starting to line up five hours before opening. But it was a Saturday in the month of August, no where near Christmas. When the store open at 10 a.m. there were more than 300 people lined up to get in. Forever 21 hired security officers to manage the crowds and prevent any stampedes.
Allison Pepper, 16 along with Jenna Pepper, Heidi Pullman, Eric Pullman, and Libby Hasse were in line at 5 a.m.
"We thought it would be fun to get here early and hang out. We're hoping to be one of the lucky ones to win the $250 gift card," said Pepper.
For its grand opening, Forever 21 handed out gift cards to the first 200 people in line. The majority were $10 with only one for $250 with Brittany Dyee being the lucky winner.
Additionally, there were raffles throughout the day and music by DJ Peeti.
