Folsom Chamber of Commerce endorses Hoover and Reid for Folsom Cordova Unified School District BoardBy: Press Release, Folsom Chamber of Commerce
The Folsom Chamber of Commerce announced June 15 its endorsement of Joshua Hoover and David Reid for Folsom Cordova Unified School District Board of Education. The Chamber advocates for its members and the health of the business community by supporting and promoting pro-business candidates at the local and statewide level.
“The Folsom Chamber of Commerce is supporting Joshua Hoover and David Reid for open seats on the Board of Eduction,” said Dan Ryan, local business owner and chairman of the board. “Both candidates bring a wealth of personal and professional expertise, in addition to being parents of children being educated in the district. The Chamber believes collaboration between businesses, schools, and the community are integral to a strong and effective education system in Folsom. We know that Joshua and David will work diligently to build bridges and create great opportunities for such collaboration.”
Hoover is policy director for Assemblyman Kevin Kiley, the parent of three children and is active in many Folsom organizations. Reid has more than 20 years of experience in education policy, education nonprofit development and community involvement, and is also the parent of three children.
“Josh Hoover and David Reid bring the right kind of leadership that our school district needs,” Ryan said. “Josh Hoover provides the experience, knowledge and drive to focus on accountability and narrowing the achievement gap. David Reid’s experience as a corporate executive, attorney and state budget negotiator will provide the board with skills not currently being represented on the board.”
The Folsom Chamber of Commerce represents almost 1,000 members in the greater Folsom area.
