The man arrested in connection with Wednesday's carjacking-homicide in El Dorado Hills was arraigned Friday in El Dorado County Superior Court on seven charges.
Anderson Swift, 41, of Oakland, faces charges including murder, robbery, carjacking and possession of a firearm after a felony conviction. He is accused in the fatal shooting of El Dorado Hills resident Khrista Ibarolle, 31, early Wednesday morning outside of 36 Handles on White Rock Road.
Swift is suspected of killing Ibarolle after attempting to rob her and her friend of their keys and cash outside the bar. Ibarolle’s friend was not injured.
Swift fled in a stolen vehicle and crashed not far from the scene, where he was taken into custody.
Swift was assigned a public defender. His next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 2 at a pre-preliminary hearing.
