Eureka Lodge Masons Busy in the Community
Masons Bill Butrica, John Valeu, Deputy Sheriff Jim and Eureka Lodge Master Bob Murphy

Fall festivals bring out the children, so Freemasons of Eureka Lodge No 16 was busy out in the community providing FREE Kids ID thumbprinting and photo ID of children of all ages.

Masons Bob Murphy current Master, Bill Butrica, PM and Fellow Craft John Valeu and Ryan Fallbeck screened numerous children enjoying the fall festivities, many dressed in their favorite Halloween costumes.

Scarecrows, Sugar Plum Fairies and giant pumpkins were all on hand with our Masonic men at the 12th annual Auburn Community Festival at Auburn Recreation Park. This event was lots of fun! Next, the Auburn Masons teamed up with Placer County Sheriff’s Department up the road and participating in the Meadow Vista Fall Carnival. Everything at these two venues was major kid-friendly with many families taking advantage of this program.

Eureka Lodge provides our community with FREE Kids ID identification which gives parents the peace of mind that they are prepared for the unthinkable. Parents receive an identification sheet that includes space to record a child's height, weight, eye and hair color, and distinguishing marks. This sheet will be extremely valuable to authorities if a child ever becomes missing or abducted. The entire process takes only a minute and no information is ever recorded on the computer equipment.

Masonry is the world's first and largest fraternal organization. It is a body of knowledge and a system of ethics based on the belief that each man has a responsibility to improve himself while being devoted to his family, faith, country, and fraternity.

As Freemasons, we lead by example, give back to our communities, and support numerous Masonic philanthropies. We invest in children, our neighborhoods, and our future.
