Philip Wood, reporter
Philip Wood first worked at the Telegraph in 2003, then left to work for another paper. He returned to the Telegraph in November 2004 where he reports on education, health, environment and transportation for the Folsom and El Dorado Hills Telegraphs.
Wood earned a B.A. degree in anthropology in 1996 from California State University, Stanislaus, with a concentration in archaeology and a minor in history.
After graduation, he went to work for Borders Books in Roseville where he became the human resources manager.
Wood later returned to college and received a B.A. degree in journalism from California State University, Sacramento in 2004.
He resides in El Dorado Hills and loves to hike along the coast as well as read mysteries and suspense novels.
Born in Sacramento, his family moved in 1982 to Folsom where he graduated from Folsom High School. When asked what he wants to be when he grows up, Wood said, "Im doing it."
