The Positive Side of God
Thank you to Frances, my sister in Christ who created his photo!

I remember those days I was building my counseling-coaching practice in Fairfield, CA and it seemed that life had an exciting turn everywhere I went! One day I was sitting in my home office next to my computer wondering what I was going to do after graduating from Southern New Hampshire University and the next thing I knew I was in my own office, totally furnished, receptionist, office manager, and taking my first in person clients. I had been taking phone clients and coaching them from home and had the vision to do so full time and also in person! Within 24 hours I went from working in my home to an office filled with everything I needed, a new yearly lease, a business line of credit and advertising that made me known all over Solano County and in some cases California.

How did I do it? I DECIDED to do it! Yep, that is all I did! I had a vision and I wanted it so much that to NOT do it would be the most painful thing in the world and the vision of doing it brought me such bliss! I followed the bliss to a practice that supported my passion for several years! I totally new the manifestation of the scripture, "I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me"! I'm going to give myself a little pat on the back here and say that God and I are AWESOME partners! I had a positive smile on my face every day of my life because working my passion was what I just lived for! The result is that I was always HAPPY! Some situations in life happened to me that then changed things forever. It was real hard. "The rain falls on the just and unjust alike". It felt like the end. Yet it never fails that the "end" of things is really the beginning of new things! Spring ALWAYS follows the winter. Just like the seasons in nature this was just one more season in my life that brought about change. People cringe at change, even when it is a perceived good one! I don't know why we do that! Hard places are "holy ground"! New opportunities to "spring forth" in a new season is a time for ultimate growth and new pleasure! How often do we get the chance to recreate ourselves and find new passions? Life would just be boring if we did the same thing all of the time even if it did bring us joy! We are here on earth to experience as many pleasures and lessons as we can and to be happy!

It is an absolute crime to NOT be happy! Now I know that we are human and there are times when we must grieve and go through seasons of true sadness. God understands when our hearts are breaking and He is near the brokenhearted. He loves us and always will support us with compassion during our seasons of grief, sadness, and struggle. Yet seasons change and so do we! If we allow God to help us stay on the positive side of Him the process of new growth becomes an absolute joy! I'm not saying there won't be "issues" in life. There are always issues! I am saying that joy comes in the "mourning" and after a long season of winter it is time to wake up and see that it is morning! See that it is the dawn of a new day and rejoice!

Over the last few weeks or so I have been doing some new spiritual seeking, and as much as I believe in spiritual warfare, I am seeing that often we go about that warfare in a real negative way. Negativity begets negativity. It is the universal law of reciprocity. (We get what we put out there.) If we are always trying to cast out things from our lives instead of welcoming in the positive reinforcement then we are always speaking to ourselves that we are tainted or lacking. I will give you an example. Instead of casting out that "spirit of doubt", take upon yourself faith! Who said there is a "spirit" named "doubt" anyway? Did God say that? I've never heard Him say that! Yes, we are told to overcome doubt but we overcome the negative with a positive, which is faith.

Think of this: The cross is a plus sign! The next time you notice yourself working in the negative and not the positive remember the plus sign! Jesus gave us all the positivity we need to get through just about anything in life. Love is the greatest spiritual warfare there is! Jesus gave us the "love" commandments! We are to love the Lord our God with everything we have, and everything we are, and love others as we love ourselves. (This is a paraphrased thought). How about "perfect love casts out fear"? You see, God wants us to notice the plus sign in life and work in the positive! Jesus was and is a great example of that! We belong to Him and to not be happy, to not be in joy, to not work toward a more positive and more strong faith, is to say that Jesus' act upon the cross has no victory! Can we even think of stating that the blood sacrifice of our Savior has NO power? I catch myself at the negative stuff now. (They still happen sometimes). I remember those days I envisioned my life and just made it happen out of pure positive faith, passion, love, joy, and consistent focus!

Repeat after me: " I can do ALL things in Christ who strengthens me. I can BE ALL things in Christ who created me and lives inside me"! Those who do not have Christ light do not have this true empowerment but we do! It is an absolute slap in the face of God to constantly go around acting like we have to cast stuff out of us when Jesus died to resolve all of that! We are being regenerated already, so we need to step into that regeneration and believe it if we are to live a victorious life in Christ! It is the only way to be a good witness and to also live in passion of our Savior! Life is meant to be lived in passion! So let's do that!

(As I write this my daughter is coming out of her room at 5:30am and preparing for her morning run! She has been doing this for a few weeks now. One suggestion spoken in a positive passionate way encouraged her to a new healthy habit! I am so proud of her! I believe in her and now she believes in herself! )

Repeat again: " I believe God, and I believe in me!" Have a great day and live life in God's positive passion! Change every negative thought to a positive plus sign. Life will take on a whole new blessing of its own. Jesus delivered us from every sin and every curse. So lets help each other live free and liberated because we are!

God BLESS you!

In Him
