Trio arrested in connection to vehicle break-ins

Three suspects were arrested in connection to numerous vehicle burglaries in Rocklin.

Yevgeniy A Kerez, 22, of Sacramento, 19-year-old Anatoliy Pavlovich Vorobets of Antelope, and

Iliya Deshevenko, 19, of Sacramento were arrested for alleged burglary, theft, possession of stolen property and conspiracy.

Rocklin Police received several calls Aug. 5 from residents on Pembroke Way and Broughton Court reporting vehicle break-ins and stolen property. As officers were taking the reports, Rocklin Dispatch received a call from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department that deputies had contacted the occupants of a car near Walerga and Elverta roads in Sacramento County. Deputies found property that contained references to a Rocklin resident.

Rocklin Police Department detectives met with the Sacramento County deputies, collected the property, and arrested the three suspects.

So far, five vehicle burglaries have been reported in Rocklin. Police recovered iPods, CDs, tools and other property found inside the vehicle.

Rocklin Police believe other victims have not reported break-ins. Rocklin residents who have been victims of a vehicle break-in but have not reported the crime, are asked to contact the Rocklin Police Department at (916) 625-5400.

Bail for the three suspects has not been set yet.
