Ride benefits officers traveling to capital
Each year, between 140 and 160 officers are killed in the line of duty. To honor the fallen, thousands of law enforcement officers from around the state make the annual ride to Washington, D.C., for National Police Week, this year from May 9-15. The Folsom Harley Owners Group (HOG) chapter 1787 and River City Biz Cards are hosting a poker run April 10 to offset the cost for local officers who will be making the trek to the nation’s capital. KNOW AND GO Poker Run When: Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. April 10 RSVP by April 7 to (916) 548-1292; raffle prizes, best poker hand wins pot, Folsom Police Department riding demos and a barbecue dinner are included.
