The Folsom U11 Cardinals are still perfect following back-to-back wins on their home field over the weekend. The Cardinals dominated Gold Country 11-1 and then beat Sacramento 10-0. Jackson Alford and Mitchell Northcutt earned game balls for their play. The Cardinals are 10-0 but will face its toughest match against the also undefeated Pleasant Grove Eagles on Saturday at Kemp Field in Folsom. Also fairing well and sporting a victory and a move to the number-two spot in league play is the United JV team, who beat Woodcreek 14-3. The United JV is continuing to make strides and will likely head into the playoffs. Challenges faced the other Folsom teams with the United varsity struggling with injuries and losing 10-6 to Woodcreek. The fledgling United Girls dropped games to seasoned teams such as Casa Grande, 14-1 and the San Jose Extreme 13-5. The Folsom U15 Hawks split two games over the weekend, beating Woodcreek 14-0 and losing to Granite Bay, 15-8. The U13 Falcons couldn’t rally against the Granite Bay Grizzlies and lost 4-0.
