While the Folsom Lake College tennis teams stayed warm and dry indoors yesterday, the men’s golf team battled rain, cold, high winds and the rest of the Big 8 Conference in Tournament No. 4 at Spring Creek Country Club in Ripon. The Falcons placed second as a team with 387, twelve strokes behind winner Santa Rosa and one ahead of American River. With the win, Santa Rosa closed to within two points of Folsom Lake in the Big 8 standings. The Falcons had another excellent round by freshman Joel Slak, who shot a 70. Sophomore Luke Ivazian managed another consistent 75 despite battling sickness. Ivazian was followed by Cole Zarecky (78), Tanner Lichty (79), Kevin Rose (85) and Riley Svikhart (86). The Falcons are busy this week as they play again Thursday at Haggin Oaks in Sacramento in Big 8 Tournament No. 5. The Folsom Lake College tennis teams have rescheduled their match at American River to Tuesday April 3.
