FOLSOM, CA — Vice President of Membership Sue Field announced Thursday she will retire by the end of the year after a six-year tenure on staff at the Folsom Chamber of Commerce.
“Sue has been a tireless advocate for chamber members both in her role as V.P. of membership and in her previous years of service as a board member,” said Joe Gagliardi, chamber CEO/ president. “Sue’s experience as a business owner means she truly understands the needs of our members.”
Field was instrumental in spearheading and promoting many of the chamber’s monthly networking and educational programs including Lunch Leads Learn, Connections, an annual business expo, and the Highway 50 Power Lunch, a joint venture between three regional chambers.
Field was awarded the 2010 Wall of Fame award in 2010 and the 2002 Business of the Year Award in recognition of her service to the Folsom Chamber and the community.
“As a new member, Sue helped me identify opportunities to grow my business and give back to my community.” said Marc Chan, owner of the Healing Station and an ambassador with the Folsom Chamber. “She is a fabulous resource and will be missed.”
“Sue Field has left an indelible imprint upon the Folsom Chamber. We wish and her husband Larry the very best in their well-deserved retirement,” Gagliardi said.
The Folsom Chamber of Commerce will be honoring Field at a reception 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12 at the Folsom Chamber Ambassador Room. Friends and associates are welcome with an RSVP by phone (916) 985-2698 or email to email@example.com.
