Looking for a great, affordable sport for your kids to play this fall? Then sign them up for the Folsom Junior Team Tennis League and let the fun begin. The Sacramento Community Tennis Association is offering the new junior team tennis league program from the United States Tennis Association, Northern California Section, open to local area youth, ages 8 to 12. Perfect for the beginner player, the fall team tennis league is an excellent introduction to a sport they can enjoy for a lifetime. The Folsom Jr. Team Tennis League is a six-week program, utilizing a local team tennis model developed by USTA Northern California. The program will be held at the Broadstone Racquet Club, 820 Halidon Way beginning Sept. 26 and running for six weeks for boys and girls ages 8 to 12. Open House registration will be held Sept. 12 from 1-3 p.m. at the club. A fee of $75 is required at the time of registration and includes team T-shirt, awards and balls. A fee of $30 is payable directly to the commissioner for the practice sessions, due at first practice. The first 50 kids to register receive a free junior racquet. Registration deadline is Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009.
