An El Dorado Hills woman seriously injured in a rollover accident on the Rubicon Trail has died. Rachel Anne Gray, 21, suffered third-degree burns over 75 percent of her body and lost a portion of her left leg following a rollover crash on Cadillac Hill along the trail. A UC Davis Medical Center official confirmed Tuesday that Gray died over the weekend. Since the crash, Gray had undergone several surgeries and skin grafts. Gray’s mother, Leesa Williams, kept friends and family updated on Gray’s progress with Facebook updates. Her last update was Aug. 31. “Momma bear update: A fragile day 34. Rach continues to struggle with the respiratory area and we remain vigilant in our watch, prayers, support and the deepest faith for our Missy Poo. God's hands remain wrapped around her tightly. God bless.” On Sept. 2, Mindy Gross posted her condolences to the family. “So sad to hear of Rachel's passing. My words could not express enough to you at this time, all I can do is pray for Jesus to strengthen you and the family at this time,” she wrote. “Knowing that God is and always will be in control and he loves you, let His strength comfort you and know that you can be with Rachel someday.”
