Red Hawk Casino stabbing victim identified

Officials have released the name of a young man stabbed and killed at Red Hawk Casino.

According to El Dorado County Sheriff's Department officials, 19-year-old Gene Mcarn was stabbed at 10:30 p.m. Nov. 21 at the casino in Shingle Springs. Mcarn was transported by friends to Marshall hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and died.  The victim's name is being withheld pending positive identification and notification of next of kin.

Homicide detectives and CSI personnel responded to the Red Hawk Casino and processed the scene and interviewed potential witnesses.

Detectives are currently looking for Estaphen Juarez, who law enforcement officials describe as a person of interest in the incident.
