Real estate agent gathers food for needy

Century 21 Select Group’s Kimberly Wood, a sales associate with its El Dorado Hills office, has collected hundreds of pounds of food donated by residents of Empire Ranch, in Folsom, for the Twin Lakes Food Bank.

She recently went door to door in the Empire Ranch neighborhood, inviting residents to donate food for the upcoming holidays. Bel Air Supermarket in Folsom donated more than 200 bags for the collection. This has become an annual event for the residents of Empire Ranch and Wood.

“I love the sense of community that can be felt in this neighborhood. I am always amazed at the outpouring of generosity,” she said.

Wood has been a top-producing real estate agent over the years and specializes in residential, income and short sales. Mike Southwick, manager of the El Dorado Hills, branch of Century 21 Select Group said he always encourages all agents in the office to become active in the community.

“Kimberly is very community oriented which we appreciate and encourage,” he said.

She can be reached at (916) 801-9433.
