Folsom High junior Blake Oliaro was an honorable-mention selection to the Northern California Junior Lacrosse Association All-Star team. Oliaro, an attackman, led the Folsom-Cordova United team in points. “Blake quickly became our top scoring threat, and he got stronger as the season wore on,” Folsom-Cordova lacrosse coach Michael Messersmith said. “I expect huge scoring numbers from him next year.” Oliaro’s teammate, Cordova High junior Marcus Adams, was an all-league selection. Adams, a goalkeeper, had an outstanding season. “Marcus was clearly one of the top two or three goalies in the entire league,” Messersmith said. “He was the key to our success, and I’m sure he will have an even better senior season. “Both Marcus and Blake were very deserving of all-star status.” The United went 9-1 in league play, losing only to Chico in overtime. The team posted a 10-4 record overall.
