To continue the spirit of the holiday season, the Moscow Classical Ballet will perform the traditional production of “The Nutcracker” Dec. 27-30.

The troupe is one of three ballet companies supported by the Russian government and includes a group of young dancers, according to organizers.

“We are the final stop in the U.S. for the Moscow Classical Ballet this touring season and are particularly excited to have this premier troupe of stellar performers return after their successful run at Three Stages last year,” said Three Stages Executive Director Dave Pier.

For 45 years, the Moscow Classical Ballet has performed in more than 30 countries around the world. They have toured “The Nutcracker” in the U.S. every year for the past 20 years.

“These Moscow Classical Ballet dancers are beautiful young strong dancers with a great deal of vitality since the Russian training is the best in the world,” said Robert Friedman, president of Robert Friedman Presents. “The dancers attend dance class everyday because dance is a very demanding profession. It’s a profession you must love.”

“The Nutcracker” will be performed at Three Stages at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27, at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29 and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 30.

Tickets are $29 to $49 with premium tickets available for $59 to $65.
