At a special Folsom City Council meeting Monday night, Andy Morin was elected mayor and Ernie Sheldon was elected vice mayor. Morin was acting as vice mayor previously and Sheldon was a council member. Both were voted in 5-0 by Folsom City Council members. This is the second term Morin was voted mayor. “It’s great to get back into this,” Morin said. “This is a great local community that makes it easy to get inspired to get great things done. And we have a great history to push to get things done.” Sheldon was pleased that the voting was unanimous. “I’m happy it’s a 5-0 vote for me and the mayor,” Sheldon said. “It shows that we are all still together and with the challenges that we are facing, that’s important.”
