Marijuana grow found in downtown Folsom
By: Don Chaddock, The Telegraph
An eagle-eyed helicopter pilot spotted something odd while flying over downtown Folsom on Thursday - an illegal marijuana growing operation. When Folsom Police officers checked the site on Thursday, they discovered 100 marijuana plants growing near a public bike trail at Sibley Street and Glenn Drive. Pilot Kevin Vinatieri spotted the grow from the air and it's not the first time the CHP officer has uncovered such an operation in that spot. This is the third time in four years a marijuana growing operation has been discovered in the area by Vinatieri, according to the Folsom Police Department. The street value of the plants is estimated at $76,000. There are no suspects at this time.
