-A +A
Editor’s Note: Each week during the sports season, the Telegraph will profile a middle school athlete. Who: Kyle Parrott is an 8th grader at Sutter Middle School and a member of the school’s wrestling team. He competes in the 108-pound weight class. How long have you been wrestling and how did you get into it? Three years. My friend, Tyler Hoffman, and I decided it would be fun and went out for the team. What do you like about it? I just like going all out and having fun. It’s a contact sport and there’s lots of skill involved, you’re not just pushing each other around. What is your favorite pinning combination? An Anderson bar. Coach’s Comment: “Kyle’s a person of exemplary character. He’s a perfect model for younger wrestlers, highly dedicated and hard working.” ~ Larry Yohner
