Editor’s Note: Each week during the sports season, the Telegraph will profile a middle school athlete. Who: Kennedy Feltman, 14, is an 8th grader at Sutter Middle School and a point guard on the basketball team. What is your favorite part about the game? I like scoring and blocking shots. What are you best at? Dribbling. Who’s had the most influence on your basketball career? One of my coaches, Kevin Totushek. He’s worked with me and I’ve gained my skills from him. Who is your favorite NBA team? Los Angeles Lakers. Who is your favorite NBA player and why? Kobe Bryant because I like how he drives through the defense and he’s also good at shooting 3-pointers. He has no fear. What is your favorite class in school and why? P.E. because I like playing all the sports. What do you want to do when you grow up? I’d like to be a marine biologist. Coach’s Comment: “Kennedy was the glue that kept the team together. She’s a great ball handler and a force on the court.
