Letter: Kenison off point on railroad feasibility

Your writer of the article about the railroad right of way controversy between rail advocates and Mr. Mike Kenison, et al.,(May 23 edition), should have mentioned that Mr. Kenison?s home backs up to the railroad right of way and that he has been an opponent of excursion rail for many years. Also, I don?t see how Kenison?s opinion that ?trains are a financial disaster? is on point. And how would he know that they?re having ?a hard time making a go of it?? And finally, it doesn?t seem very newsy that the non-profit railroad association ?aren?t [sic.] making money.? Who, except Mr. Kenison, could be surprised at that? Bob Holderness, Folsom
