The Folsom Cordova Lacrosse Association is offering beginners lacrosse clinics on July 28 and Aug. 4 at the Folsom Sports Complex. This is an ideal opportunity for players interested in learning basics about the game and requires no equipment for participants. The clinics held at Kemp Field behind the complex are open to boys and girls, fourth grade to 12th grade and are offered from 9-11 a.m. Participants are asked to wear athletic clothing and shoes. Equipment will be provided. Clinics will teach skills in proper stick handling, cradling, passing, shooting, as well as defensive skills. Local coaches and players will conduct the clinics designed for the beginner player. Cost is $25 for Folsom residents and $32 for athletes outside of Folsom.
