Vista del Lago freshman Emilee Hoffman advanced to Monday's Masters Golf Tournament by shooting an 85 at the Sac-Joaquin Section Division IV Golf Tournament Monday at Elkhorn Golf Club in Stockton.
Hoffman's 85 was the second-lowest score of the day and lowest for individuals who didn't qualify for Masters as a team.
"It was brutal conditions with rain and wind non-stop for about 13 of the 18 holes played," Vista del Lago coach Miguel Rodriguez said. "I was very impressed with her score, considering the conditions."
Vista del Lago placed fifth in the tournament behind East Union, Central Catholic, Union Mine and Sonora.
Following Hoffman's 85, Haley D'Amico shot a 123 with teammate Nora Moran one stroke back with a 124. Jessica Hall (142), Ugar Nur Basmaci (144) and Riiegh Varga (161) rounded out the team.
Monday's Masters Tournament will be held at The Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton.
