What if there was a revitalizing new perspective that enlivened your experience of the game of golf and added richness beyond the game? This and more will be the subject at an evening discussion with renowned golf expert, Fred Shoemaker, on Thursday, April 12 at Rancho Murieta Country Club. Shoemaker, the author of two books, “Extraordinary Golf” and “Extraordinary Putting,” is also a golf professional who has spent his career assisting people in overcoming the obstacles that prevent them from expressing their potential. He has coached more than 41,000 lessons, presented his unique instructional approach at over 1,000 programs globally and conducted numerous PGA/LPGA and coaches seminars. The Thursday evening talk on “The Source of Performance” will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Terrace Lounge at Rancho Murieta Country Club. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served and no-host cocktails will be available. The cost for non-members is $5 per person. Reservations may be made by calling Cheryl at 354-3416. On Friday, April 13 Shoemaker will be instructing a private golf clinic, assisted by RMCC’s Director of Golf, Don Thames. The day will begin with an 8 a.m. breakfast for all participants, followed by the clinic, lunch and a 9-hole golf event to implement your new skills. The cost for non-members is $275 per person and includes meals, the clinic and golf. It is limited to the first 16 people on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations for this clinic may be made by calling the RMCC Golf Shop at 354-2400.
