Get into the Christmas spirit at Stage Nine

-A +A
Stage Nine Theatre/Garbeau’s is embracing the Christmas season with two productions and a few visits from jolly ol’ St. Nick himself. “Holiday in the Hills” features dozens of local actors in a production set in Folsom in the late 1800s. Peter J. Hopper, the Telegraph’s editor at the time, is portrayed by Mike Jimena again this year. Jimena narrates the tale of the town during the holidays. The production also features songs. The play is performed at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sunday through Dec. 20. Tickets are $22 general, $20 seniors and SARTA and $15 children 12 and younger. “A Laura Ingalls Wilder Christmas” is a tale of Christmas in the past. The play is performed at 1 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 28 at Stage Nine Theatre/Garbeau’s at 717 Sutter St. in Folsom. During Christmas week, the play is performed daily except Dec. 25. Santa Claus will also be visiting the theater from 3 to 5 p.m. on Dec. 12 and 19.
