Four Folsom High wrestlers are taking their offseason training to the next level. Connor Pollock, Isaias Diaz and Jordan Alleva will be competing at the Sophomore Nationals this week in Virginia. Tianna Camous will be competing at Women's Nationals in Oklahoma. They will all be vying to become high school All-Americans. Camous became an All-American last summer at Fargo, ND, as she finished eighth in the country at Freestyle Nationals. The boys will attempt to become high school All-Americans just as Folsom High's Jordan Hart did last year when he finished fifth in the country to become the school's first All-American wrestler. As a result, he was able to obtain a scholarship to wrestle at UC Davis. Both Hart and Camous would not have been able to make their respective trips without the help of donors and sponsors. These trips are not cheap. Airfare is a big cost, but factoring in hotels, rental cars, food and entry fees, it can be a large burden on the athletes and their families. Anyone interesting in sponsoring one or all of these athletes, with no amount of money being too small, should contact Folsom High wrestling coach Mike Collier at firstname.lastname@example.org.
