Folsom United high school lacrosse teams split games this past week with the most difficult opposition being the weather. In cold, wet, raining conditions both teams played and earned one win but also suffered a loss. Folsom United Varsity lost to the No. 1 team in the league and undefeated Pleasant Grove, 10-1. Lukas Sultan was the team’s lone goal scorer. United turned it around in a close battle with Sierra Foothills. Jared Spinelli and Conner O’Donnell both scored two goals, while Spinelli also added an assist. Joe Ricco and Ryan Dulinski both chipped in a goal as well, while Ben Sheskier had one assist. Folsom United girls swung from one extreme to another with a 13-2 loss to Stockton and then a 12-4 win over Morgan Hill. Mary and Hannah Meyer managed goals against Stockton. Folsom revved it up in the cold conditions against Morgan Hill, as Amanda Sultan and Lindsey Michalek both scored three goals. Mary Meyer and Sidney Knudsen added two each.
