Folsom High had three champions at the Delta River League track and field championships last week and will send 22 athletes to the Division 1 section champions at Hughes Stadium at Sacramento City College this week. Mike Starr won the Delta River League pole vault with a vault of 13 feet, while Daniel Nickerson claimed the 3,200 meters in 10:00.06 with a 68-second final lap, his fastest lap of the race by seven seconds. Morgan Pugh also won a league title, winning the 1,600 with a personal-best time of 5:14. Joining Starr and Nickerson at the section meet will be Tyler Trosin (200, 400, long jump), Ryan Maddox (high jump), Scott Hayes and Mike Geist (pole vault) and Spencer Hodson, Scott Hayes, Jake Decker and Clay Daly in relays. For the girls, Pugh also qualified in the 800 and will be joined at sections by Courtney Anderson (800, 300 hurdles), Blanka Hodur (3,200), Juliet Casillas (100 hurdles), Brooke Rasor (100 hurdles), Sarah Hockensmith (pole vault, long jump, triple jump, relay), Shelli Cloverdale (pole vault), Sara London (triple jump), Jessica Gannon (high jump, relay) and Selena George, Shayna Dockery and Jenna Crouch in the relays.
