Blanka Hodur qualified for the state cross country championships for the fourth straight season on Saturday. Hodur extended her high school cross country career two more weeks by placing sixth in the Division I Sac-Joaquin Section Championships at Willow Hills, finishing the 3.1-mile race in 19 minutes, 41 seconds, two minutes better than her time at the Delta River League meet run just weeks earlier. By qualifying for the state meet, Hodur extended Folsom High’s mark of having a female runner at the state meet for the 18th-consecutive season. In the freshman-sophomore 2.1-mile race, Vivian Lam placed third with a personal-best time of 13:53, the second-fastest time run on the course by a Folsom High runner. The freshman-sophomore boys’, who qualified for the meet as a team, placed sixth. Jonathan Barrows led the way by finishing fourth, breaking his own school record with a time of 11:46. Michael Kinoshita ran 12th in 12:09 with Sam Scheuer placing 20th, 20 seconds behind. Cristiano Bobiles finished 27th in 12:50, followed by Blake Shaw (33rd, 13:00), David Hanson (34th, 13:05) and Alex Blake (38th, 13:28).
