William Jessup University junior Mallory Blodgett went 12 for 21 in six games and was selected as the California Pacific Conference Softball Player of the Week for the dates March 5-11. Blodgett, a native of Folsom and graduate of Folsom High, hit .571 with one with a home run, two doubles, two triples, a stolen base, nine runs scored and 11 RBI in a 3-3 week for the Warriors. All of the Warriors’ games last week were a part of the Cougar Clash in San Marcos and was hosted by CSU San Marcos. The Warriors are currently 13-9 on the season. William Jessup will start California Pacific Conference play this week. Their first three-game series of the conference year will be Friday and Saturday against Simpson University in Rocklin.
