FOLSOM CA - A residential structure fire displaced a Folsom family last week. Just after 9 a.m. on Dornie Circle in Empire Ranch, firefighters from the Folsom Fire Department, El Dorado Hills Fire District and Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded to a two alarm structure fire inside the Folsom two-story house. According to Folsom Fire Chief Ron Phillips, a total of six engines companies, two truck companies, one paramedic ambulance and two chief officers were dispatched to the scene. There were no injuries as a result of this fire. Folsom firefighters from Folsom Fire Station 38 arrived 7 minutes and 35 seconds after receiving the first 9-1-1 call, Phillips said. The fire was burning on both levels of the home, also extending into the attic area of the home. According to Phillips, firefighters immediately began an ?offensive fire attack? to prevent the spread of the fire into the remaining areas of the home and to adjacent homes. The fire was fully contained within one hour. Damage to the home is estimated at approximately $350,000, Phillips said. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
