Folsom High's golf team embarks on a tough stretch of golf this week. With three matches in four days, the young Bulldogs will get a big taste of high school tournament golf. Folsom played in the Thunder Invitational on Monday, the second Delta River League Tournament on Tuesday and will play in the Del Oro Tournament at Turkey Creek on Thursday. Our team will find out if we have the mental stamina to compete all week, which will help as we head to the end of the season, Folsom coach Steve Burgess said. In their only match last week, the Bulldogs defeated Kennedy 191-228 at Empire Ranch on Thursday. Freshman Taylor Knoll led the way for the Bulldogs, shooting a 1-over 37, while his brother, Brian, finished with a 2-over 38, as did teammates D.J. Christensen and Alex Morgan. Joel Slak shot a 40, while Mike Salzano finished his round in 47 strokes.
