The Folsom Lake College men’s golf team somehow managed to play 18 holes of golf in near monsoon conditions Wednesday in Big 8 Tournament No. 6 at Eagle Vines Golf Club in Napa. The Falcons shot a team score of 393, which was one stroke behind Delta College for second place. Santa Rosa won their fourth consecutive tournament with a score of 377. The win moved the BearCubs four points ahead of Folsom Lake in the Big 8 standings at the halfway point of the season. Joel Slak and Kevin Rose continued their fine play by shooting 73, while Luke Ivazian finished with a 76, while Cole Zarecky shot an 80. Nick Fowler (91) and Riley Svikhart (93) rounded out the scores for Folsom Lake. The team now has two weeks off to regroup before Big 8 Tournament No. 7 at Whitney Oaks Golf Club in Rocklin on April 10.
