Cops nab prison escapee

According to reports, authorities apprehended an escapee from a local prison at 5:20 p.m. yesterday in Sacramento County. At approximately, 7 a.m. a minimum-security inmate escaped from the California State Prison, Sacramento, in the Folsom area. Zachary Dickens, a 5-foot, 10-inch tall white male weighing 195 pounds, turned up missing during routine activities around 7 a.m. yesterday morning, and prison personnel became suspicious regarding his whereabouts, said Mike York, public information officer. “We (had) all agencies in lockdown and (had) all necessary people looking for him,” York said. The escapee was a minimum-security inmate and presented no danger to the community, York said. According to authorities, Dickens is serving a four-year sentence for corporal injury to a spouse and was scheduled to be released in December 2011.
